NEW TURBINES OF KANCHURINSKAYA UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE FACILITY

Two gas turbines developed on the basis of GTU-10P have been put into operation on Kanchurinskaya underground gas storage facility of Gazprom Transgaz PHG Ltd.

Kanchurinskaya underground gas storage facility is one of the largest in Russia and leads in implementing state-of-the-art  technology.

Commissioning of three similar GPA-10 PHG-01 plants took place in the second and fourth quarters of 2007.

The heart of the plant is GTU-10P gas turbine based on PS-90GP-3 engine. A simple and reliable design of its prototype - PS-90A aviation engine - allows decreasing maintenance costs of both the gas turbine and of the whole plant significantly.

The installed gas compressor plants manufactured by Iskra are equipped with RC7-6B compressors made by Thermodyn (France). Dry gas seals are produced by John Crane, UK. Computer-aided Process Control System is based on software and hardware solutions of Compressor Controls Corporation and supplied by Sistema-Gaz, CJSC.

The general designer of the construction is VNIPI-gazdobycha institute.
Shipping of the plants was carried out by Iskra-Turbogaz Ltd.
