Head of Power Generating Gas Turbines and Power Plants Department of Aviadvigatel
Aviadvigatel OJSC and Iskra-Energetika CJSC have entered into the contract for delivery of four 16MW gas turbine power generating units. The machines will be based on GTU-16P and equipped with gearboxes developed by Kirov-Energomash factory (St.Petersburg).
GTU-16P gas turbine Perm Engine Company OJSC
The above machines will be integrated in two combined cycle gas turbine plants for AK Tula-mashzavod OJSC and for the housing maintenance and utilities company in Znamensk, Astrakhan Oblast. Delivery of gas turbine equipment is scheduled for the first quarter of 2010.
Perm engine builders consider participation in these projects as an experience in prospective technologies of a modern power industry. Steam-gas technologies permit the notable enhancement of the plant's efficiency factor. In particular, use of two GTU-16P gas turbines in a common plant will give us 32 MW of total capacity. Use of these turbines in a combined cycle gas turbine plants will give us up to
46 MW of total capacity, which is 6 to 8 MW more.
Besides good cost effectiveness, combined cycle gas turbine plants are more flexible in supplying heat and power to consumers in different seasons of the year.
