GTU-25P SERIES PRODUCTION WILL BE STARTED AS SCHEDULED
We asked Mikhail D. Dicheskul, Managing Director of Perm Engine Company and technologically related companies, to tell us about the preparation of Perm specialists for 25 MW gas turbines series production.
In the nearest future Perm Engine Company begins to supply series GTU-25P gas turbines several facilities of Gazprom, OJSC including the North-European gas pipeline called North Stream.
At the beginning of 2008 in the scope of preparation for GTU-25P gas turbine series production Perm Engine Company authority approved a plan aimed at mastering of this product series production. The plan stipulated the order, terms, production quantity of tools for manufacture of all gas turbine parts and assembly units.
To decrease the tools number as well as to reduce the production cycle significantly the investment program of 2009-2011 provides for purchase of 26 items of high-efficient equipment by Perm Engine Company.
GTU-25PUp to date 9 items of various equipment are received and being commissioned and assimilated. In particular two CNC 5-axis electro-erosion machines delivered by Winbro Group British company , Power Turn 1250 Toshulin turning-and-boring machining center, IS-800 Globus CNC milling-and-drilling tool, 65A90PMF4 milling-and-drilling CNC machine, Pasific Kiln gas through furnace to burn ceramic molds, Ruslan X-ray set with a processing machine, PVP 5000/12.5 furnace with a roll-out bottom.
Instrumental Plant-PM traditionally produces tools. Besides to speed up the works a contract with Ufimskoye Industrial Corporation has been concluded for tools design and manufacture.
To carry out GTU-25P full-scale tests the test bench is to be updated due to the purchase of a booster compressor and a loading hydraulic brake.
According to the sche-dule of GTU-25P gas turbine assimilation beginning from 2011 Perm Engine Company shall produce 2-3 GTU-25P gas turbines every three months.
New equipment at Perm Engine Company will be implemented in the nearest future.
«Nord Stream is a joint Russian-German project. The length of the gas pipeline will be about 1200 km. The first line with flow rate of 27.5 bln. m3 is to be put into operation in 2010. The second gas pipeline construction by 2012 will lead to increase of its flow rate up to 55bln. m3. Target markets are Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, France, Denmark.»
