Presentation of documentary film Evacuation

At the Perm Motors Group (93 Komsomolskiy avenue) on the second of May 2007, will be the presentation of the documentary film Evacuation dated for the Victory Day.

Annotation to the film:

"The new history didn't know such a great resettlement of the nation. The war moved millions of workers, employees, children, old men and women from the familiar spot. They moved to the East, hoping come back home after two or three months, when the Red army smash the enemy headily. But everything was in a different way. The evacuation delayed for the long four years and for many people it was for term of life. Not all people were allowed to come back. Not all people went through the starvation, diseases, hard toil at kolkhozes and defense plants".

For the first time in the history of the domestic cinema we can see the unvarnished truth about the evacuation with out censorship impressments. Authors of the serial, which was created under the initiative of the well-known Russian documentalist Samarii Zelikin, shot more then 100 interviews with the participants and eye-witnesses of this giant epopee. Including ex-director of the plant in the name of Y.M. Sverdlov (currently Perm Engine Company) Hero of Social Labour, Governmental prize winner Boris G. Izgagin, who was the one of the heroes of this movie.

Producers of the movie, Aleksander Murugov and Aleksei Khanutin, posed the problem to show how the evacuated enterprises, which were working for the battle-front, city and krai development affected on the history of the country. Getting through the thick layer of the time into the year 1941, they restored the event of the biggest plants evacuation, including the evacuation of the plant No.19 (currently Perm Motors Group).

In the year 2004 camera group of Art-Project fund with Novii kurs film studio assistant were shooting in the workshops of Perm Engine Company and in the museum archives of Perm Engines, which is rich of historical photo and documental materials.

The project became possible with the help of Open Russia and Internews.

General Director of Perm Motors Group Management Company V.V. Zheglov, Managing Director of Perm Engine Company S.Y. Smolin, Ex-director of the Company B.G. Izgagin, Director of Novii kurs film studio V. Sokolov, and also veterans and journalists will take part in the presentation of the movie.
