WORTH AWARD COOPERATION

On February, 2007 a large group of specialists of Perm Motor Group for their merits in grain metallurgy development for gas-turbine building were awarded by the medals of academic Alexander Fjodorovich Belov. It was made according to the decision of Astronautics Federation presidium.

The medal of academic Alexander Fjodorovich Belov was established by Astronautics Federation of the Russian Federation in 2006 and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous scientist -metallurgist and founder of Russian Institute of Light Alloys (VILS).

Perm engine-builders were the first to receive this honourable award.

Academic A.F. Belov is an outstanding Russian scientist-metallurgist, a Hero of Socialist Labour, an academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a laureate of the Lenin Prize, three times laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, an initiator of Russian Institute of Light Alloys establishing. He developed and improved the casting procedures and light alloys treatment for aviation. Belov was awarded by the USSR medal of D.K. Tchernov.
