In June 2006, the fleet of the PS-90A aero engine derivative GTU-16P gas turbines has achieved one million hours in operation.

16 MW GTU-16P gas turbine has been developed by the specialists of Perm Motors Group companies (Aviadvigatel) on the basis of the PS-90A aero engine that powers the best domestic mid- and long-haul airplanes: IL-96-300, Tu-204, Tu-214. GTU-16P has been produced in series since 1999 (at Perm Engine Company) and is used in new generation gas compressor packages and for retrofit of the old ones. As of June 1, 2006 Perm Engine Company has made and delivered to the Customers more than 120 gas turbines of this type.
