New Tu-204-300 for Vladivostok Avia

On December 25, 2005 the forth Tu-204-300 powered by Perm PS-90A engines was transferred to Vladivostok Avia Airline. Today, Vladivostok Avia is ahead of all domestic regional airlines in the rate of putting into service state-of-the-art Russian liners.

The first three liners were put into service by the largest Far East carrier in the period from May to October 2005. In the beginning of the next year the new aircraft will start regular and charter flights in the airline. As of today, Vladivostok Avia is the first and so far the only operator of this type of aircraft.

With Tu-204-300 in fleet, Vladivostok Avia introduced long-distance nonstop flights Vladivostok - Moscow and Vladivostok - St. Petersburg reducing the time in transit between these cities to 9 hours.

As they say in Tupolev, in November 2005 the maximum monthly flight time of Tu-204-300 came as high as 347 flight hours and the fleet average - about 280 hours. The average number of flights was more than 1.3 per day. Engine flight time also showed a stable growth: in November the flight time of the engines on board 64038 was 362, in December it was 363 on board 64039.

As Vladivostok Avia got confident in the cost efficiency of Tu-204-300 aircraft operation they order two more aircraft of this type. In August 2005, at MAKS'2005 Moscow Air Show Ilyushin Finance Co. and Vladivostok Avia entered in a pre-contractual agreement for procurement of two more Tu-204-300 aircraft on 15-year financial leasing terms expected to be delivered in 2007...2008. The supplier of engines for this aircraft will also be Perm Engine Company.

Details

Tu-204-300 is one of the most state-of-the-art Russian long-haul aircraft. It allows to carry up to 164 pax by the air routes from 500 km to 9000 km long with the fuel consumption being 1.5 lower compared to old homemade analogs. The aircraft is produced in series at Aviastar-SP. Tu-204-300 is equipped with two PS-90A engines.

PS-90A is the most powerful Russian engine for the latest generation civil and military-transport aviation. By combination of performance and economical indices the PS-90A is on the level of the best modern engines in 16-18 tf thrust class. The engine serial production started in 1989. In 1992 the Certificate of Type was received. The aircraft with PS-90A engines meet all current and oncoming international environmental standards and may fly to all airports of the world.
