PERM MOTORS at MAKS’2005

During the 7th MAKS International Air Show (August 16 - 21, 2005), in Pavilion F, PERM MOTORS GROUP (PERM MOTORS) will display the advanced developments in propulsion engineering.

PERM MOTORS GROUP companies will traditionally take part in MAKS Air Show, Zhukovsky town. This year the key companies of PERM MOTORS GROUP - Aviadvigatel Open Stock Co., Perm Engine Co. and Reductor-PM - will show their products under a common brand "PERM MOTORS".

At the Air Show the Perm companies will conduct presentations for specialists and mass media representatives. August 17 is declared as the Day of Perm Region. The Perm enterprises of aerospace industry will hold presentations of their achievements the press conference "Re-Engine of IL-76 Aircraft is National Project" will be conducted for journalists as well as other interesting events.

At PERM MOTORS exposition, in Pavilion F, a full-scale model of the PS-90A2 aero-engine will be presented. In the nearest future the engine will become the main engine for Russian middle-and-long- haul aircraft. The engine is an advanced modification of the PS-90A engine and is developed by the companies of PERM MOTORS GROUP in cooperation with Pratt & Whitney of USA. Compared to the prototype, the engine reliability is expected to become 1.5-2-times higher, the life cycle cost will be significantly reduced and the maintenance labor content will be decreased in twice. The PS-90A2 engine is planned for certification in 2006.

At MAKS' 2005 a visitor can see one more achievement of Perm companies: the first production cases with noise attenuation structures made of polymer composites for the D-30KU-154 engines, 2nd Series. The updated system of engine noise suppression developed by Aviadvigatel is of a great interest to Russian Airlines. The noise attenuation structures can allow the most widely used aircraft of the Russian civil aviation - the TU-154M - to meet the EC noise standards and operate according to ICAO Stage 3 without any limitations.

Among the Perm companies exhibits one can see the last novelties of Reductor-PM and in particular the updated helicopter transmission system "8M" and transmission accessories for Mi-28N (Night Hunter) and "Ansat" helicopters.

Besides PERM MOTORS will, for the first time, exhibit the GTU-12P gas turbine with the right-hand rotation of the turbine. The unique feature of this gas turbine is that it can be operated both in Russian and foreign-origin gas transportation equipment.

A visitor can also familiarize with Perm's advanced products in other booths of the Air Show. For example, the PS-90A-76 engine intended to re-engine the IL-76MD-90 aircraft will be presented in the booth of Air Forces of the RF Ministry of Defense in Pavilion No. 18.
